The Bateleurs is a group of volunteer pilots who crisscross Southern African skies to assist conservationists in the most critical times. They fly for many environmental and wildlife care and conservation issues, providing advice and support from an aerial perspective.

These men and women not only donate their time and expertise but also contribute to the operating costs of the aircraft. Depending on the aircraft, this can be in the region of R1750.00 per hour. Veldskoen sees the constant monitoring undertaken by The Bateleurs as essential work, impacting hugely on our environmental safety, from the ocean, traversing the bushlands, and all the way to the mountains and rivers.
