Resoling Policy

Breathe new life into your Veldskoen. Whether you bought them online, in-store, or walked them into the ground yourself, we have your soles covered.

Start Here: Send Us Photos

Before you send us anything, please email us clear photos of your shoes so we can check whether they can be resoled.

Please send:

• A photo from the top.
• A photo of each side.
• A photo of the bottom, showing the soles.

Take the photos in good light. Our team will look them over and confirm whether your pair qualifies, then guide you through the next steps.

Please do not send your shoes to us before we have confirmed that they can be resoled.

Resoling Within South Africa

You have three options. Choose the one that suits you.

1. Online, courier both ways - R589 per pair. We collect your shoes and deliver them back to you once they are done.
2. In-store drop-off, courier back - R489 per pair. You drop your shoes off at our store, and we courier them back to you.
3. In-store drop-off and collect - R389 per pair. You drop your shoes off and fetch them from our store in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town.

Resoling Outside South Africa

Shipping a pair of shoes into South Africa and back out again is expensive, and it often costs more than the resoling itself. So for international customers, we send you the soles instead, and a cobbler near you fits them.

Here is how it works:

1. Email us at resoling@veldskoen.com with your photos and your delivery address.
2. We send you an invoice covering the soles and the cost of shipping them to you.
3. You pay the invoice.
4. We ship the soles to you.
5. You take your shoes and the new soles to a local cobbler, who fits them for you.

A few things worth knowing:

• The cobbler's fee is separate and is paid by you, directly to them.
• Depending on where you are, your local customs may charge duties or taxes on the soles. This is not something we can include in our invoice.
• We are always happy to answer a cobbler's questions about how our soles are fitted. Ask them to email us.
• Because the fitting is done by someone outside our team, we cannot take responsibility for the cobbler's workmanship. We stand behind the soles themselves.

What Is Included

Resoling covers the soles only. It does not include new innersoles or new laces.

If you would like laces, just ask, and we will add them to your invoice.

How Long It Takes

For resoling done by us, allow 2 to 4 weeks from the day your shoes reach us, unless we tell you otherwise.

For international orders, the timeline depends on how long the soles take to reach you and on your cobbler's own turnaround. We will give you a shipping estimate when we send your invoice.
